The POTHE Assistance Fund Update
The Social Justice and Peace Commission, which receives the requests for help that come into the parish from our neighbors, has been a "life saver" for many in the months of January and February! The money used to help others comes from our Assistance Fund which consists of donations from parishioners. During this 2 month period 18 families and individuals, dealing with financial limitations due to illness, loss of work or work time, difficulty finding stable housing or being on a lengthy wait lists, family crises, and unexpected expenses, have reached out to our church. Some of the needs represented by these calls are help with rent payments, car expenses, electricity bills, costs related to moving, adaptive equipment, and food costs. The generosity of our parishioners has helped prevent loss of a safe place to be during some of our coldest weather, when shelters were full, and for most when other options for funding were not available. People are so grateful when help is received. The Social Justice and Peace Commission wants you to know that your help makes a big difference in many lives! Thank you for making this possible!
Weigh-in for race cars will be Friday evening, March 15, 6pm-9pm.
Racing will begin at 10am on Saturday, March 16 at Sacred Heart.

On Working Through Betrayal
Help us to work through the betrayal that is dementia. Teach us to embrace it for it is through its challenges that we share the carrying of Your cross. Just as You endured betrayal before your passion, help us embrace the many betrayals manifested through dementia. Lead us to view it as a sharing in your cross. Help us grow in empathy so that we may deliver our care with compassion, just as You did for us as a gift of eternal love.
St. Vincent de Paul Soup Kitchen
We will resume accepting clothing donations this weekend. Warm, clean clothing for men and women is needed and appreciated. Please, no dressy clothing. In the soup kitchen we are experiencing higher numbers of clients each day including families with small children. They are so appreciative of our generous, warm lunches and take-home food items. Thanks for all of your help. For more info regarding St. Vincent’s, please call Evelyn Pierce at 899.1784, you can leave a message.

The day will include short presentations, prayer, time for personal reflection and sharing. Cost: $55, includes hot meal. FMI & to register call 284.567.
